I moved to the US (Los Angeles) 20+ years ago and never looked back.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a Software Engineer by training and passion, even though I almost went for a degree in Psychology. I havea MS in Computer Science and IT Systems from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.upmc.fr\/\">Universit\u00e9 Pierre et Marie Curie<\/a> (Paris 6).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, I&#8217;m Director of Software Development for a leading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idc-fi.com\/services\/fintech100.jsp\">FinTech company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For the past few years, I started to take great interest in topics other than pure software development; such as: creativity, innovation, the mind, design, and leadership.<\/p>\n<p>My passion for computers started in my teens when I purchased one of the first (and very rudimentary) personal computers: a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/ZX81\">Sinclair ZX81<\/a> (I also splurged for a whopping 16KB RAM extension).<\/p>\n<p>Computers, technology and tech gadgets continue to fascinate me and most people would consider me a nerd if it weren&#8217;t for my French accent.<\/p>\n<p>My other passions are reading (I always have 2 or 3 books going at the same time) and photography.\u00a0I&#8217;m never bored, always interested in discovering new fields\/tools\/techniques and sharing ideas with others<\/p>\n<p>My motto\u00a0could be<i>: so many things to discover and so little time&#8230;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"My LinkedIn profile\" href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jeromeprovensal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"View Jerome Provensal's profile on LinkedIn\" src=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/img\/webpromo\/btn_myprofile_160x33.png\" width=\"160\" height=\"33\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My name is J\u00e9r\u00f4me Provensal.
